Decent place for exploring San Francisco. We enjoyed it, its staff and views. 30 km from the airport.

hotel itself provides many amenities and services of a quality that is appreciated. beds are very comfortable (I fell in love with the pillows), bathrooms are impeccable, with a good shower, rooms are clean and decorated in detail with the same "marine" theme of the whole hotel, in an elegant and welcoming way at the same time. We really liked the location, in Fisherman's Wharf with many attractions and services nearby. Next to it is the plaza where the famous and typical "cable car" of San Francisco leaves from, block away you will find a Starbucks and another café in front, same block from the hotel entrance, on the waterfront, 15 minute walk away is the famous "Pier 39" (full of restaurants, shops and entertainment). On that same road is full of shops to eat, buy clothes, souvenirs, gifts, sweets, wax museum, etc. if you go out from there by car it takes you 15 minutes or less to get to the Golden Gate Bridge to see it or cross it and get to know Sausalito. waterfront where it is located is full of people who ride their bikes and I understand that there are several "rentals". reception is very comfortable as it has many spaces to rest and play board games or drink a glass of water upon arrival. They also have a valet service to bring you in and park your car.
In my personal experience, some of the staff working at the hotel, while they generally provide all the services you require and you can tell they are doing their job, some of them don't have the best attitude to do so, especially if you don't speak English and find it difficult to express yourself or understand them. This was particularly true of several of those who worked in the valet service. Anyway, this is something we saw more common in San Francisco (something more characteristic of a "big city", unlike other places we were in on the Pacific coast where they usually had a personal relationship with a better disposition and more cheerful with the tourist).

Its position on Fishermans Wharf was excellent and the staff were very helpful. The rooms were of a high standard and we enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting every evening between 4pm and 6pm.
Due to the fact that this is a converted Wharf building the rooms only have small windows which can make the room seem dark in the day time.

Location was great. Walking distance to every where we wanted to go. Didn't have to get the car out until time to leave.
Would have liked to have used the frig. It was stocked and wasn't room to put anything else in it. Didn't want to turn it on with it fully stocked. Other than that can't think of anything.

I thought the staff was very friendly and helpful and the decor was unusual but very fun. It was so much better than staying at a more "corporate" hotel. We didn't get a chance to try out the daily 'happy hour' in the lobby because the area was already packed with people and there was no place to sit but it looked like fun.
The room was decorated with a fun nautical theme; however, in my room at the foot of the bed (only about 1 foot from the end) there was an enormous, round mirror. It made me a little bit uncomfortable to look up and see myself "on the big screen" so to speak. It almost seemed like it was set up to be a 2-way mirror. But otherwise, the room and the bed was very comfortable.

Staff and location excellent!
Deluxe King for two nights was over $800 and the room was super small, dark, and had no tub! Just a shower (wheel chair accessible) and the tv was not even a flat screen but a big old crt. We would never stay again! Not worth the money!

İn a great location a beautiful old building . Our room was like a dream and i took pictures of it after so many years. The free wine party , the golden fish for my daughter were nice bonuses..
As next to the main street the outside noise was disturbing. The breakfast could be better .. The one and only place in US with no pancakes or waffle :-)

Fabulous hotel. Great decor, friendly staff, great location at end of fishermans wharf - a little bit removed from the thick of things! We stayed for the last 3nights of our honeymoon and it was the perfect end to a wonderful hotel.

Its a fantastic location at Fishermans Wharf. Also just a 2 min walk to the beach if anyone has time to do that during their stay in sf . Hotel is really Nice with spacious , interesting decorated rooms , and a good restaurant next to the lobby .
Its very expensive , by far the most expensive Hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks holiday in California . They Could also have had a better selection of tv channels. Im very spoiled and like some luxury , but would choose a cheaper Hotel next time .

The best bit for me was the location, absolutely great. The hosted wine tasting was also very good as it was an opportunity to mix with other guests and swap experiences. All in all a great hotel thoroughly recommend it.
